Abdirahman Yusuf

Executive Director and Co-Founder

Abdi is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Somali Development Center. He is a bi-lingual and bi-cultural public administrator who oversees all aspects of SDC, including working with the Board of Directors, volunteer project teams, and advocacy coalitions. He represents SDC before the public, government agencies, media, and funders and also works closely with SDC clients. Prior to SDC, Abdi was a senior public health program manager at the Boston Public Health Commission and provided prevention and education activities for under-served families.

Munira Farah

Health Coordinator

Munira has been the Health Coordinator at the Somali Development Center since 2021. She has a bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in human services from Lesley University. She is bilingual in Somali and English. She specializes in coronavirus prevention and health education. She also assists individuals with healthcare coverage, general case management, and affordable housing resources.



Adeola Ebekozien

Deputy Director

Adeola joined our organization in 2018 as a Program Coordinator assisting individuals and families with job applications, affordable housing resources, healthcare coverage and general case management. Being an immigrant has helped shaped her perspective and passion in how to best support the refugees and immigrants who walk through our doors. She currently oversees our grant writing and fundraising, while also managing some of our programs to ensure they are in line with goals and objectives. She received a Master of Laws (LLM) from Boston College Law School.

Colleen Leddie

Program Coordinator

Colleen has been a Program Coordinator at the Somali Development Center since 2021. She is a licensed social worker and has her master’s in social work from Tulane University. Her specific areas of focus include the emerging field of Disaster Resilience Leadership as an innovative research surrounding the role and development of leadership and resiliency as a means of producing effective outcomes for at-risk communities and their residents.

Jordan Feld

Case Manager

Jordan has been a case manager at SDC since January 2022. He has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Latin American studies and is furthering his education at the University of British Columbia. He assists clients with immigration, probate and family court, social security, and general case management. With his experience travelling and surrounding himself around different cultures and people, he enjoys working with the East African and Afghan community.

Ahmad Kharooti

Case Manager

Ahmad has been a case manager for the Afghan community at the Somali Development Center since 2022. He has a degree in computer science from Abasym University in Pakistan. He helps the Afghan community establish their new life in America. He is fluent in Pashto, Dari, Urdu, Hindi, Farsi, and English. He assists individuals in finding jobs, food security, healthcare coverage, and general case management.

Sadiyo Hussein

Case Manager

Sadiyo has been a case manager at the Somali Development Center since 2021. She is fluent in Somali and English. She assists clients one on one with social security, finding a job, and general case management. She is also an interpreter for the Somali community.



Triomphe Kanyeba

Social Work Intern

Triomphe is a Social Work Intern at the Somali Development Center. She studies Social Work at Salem State University. Her focus is on legislations, programs and policies on women and children. She assists clients with housing, accessing benefits, helping families, and general case management.
